35,000 trademark and patent transactions completed in first half of 2025

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced on Thursday that the Trademarks and Patents Department completed around 35,000 transactions during the first half of this year, generating fees exceeding 3.6 million dinars.

According to statistics released to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Trademarks Department recorded the highest volume of activity, finalizing approximately 31,000 transactions and collecting over 3 million dinars in fees. Trademark registration applications ranked first, followed by publication and certification procedures.

The ministry added that the Patents Department completed around 4,000 transactions, with total fees exceeding 567,000 dinars. Companies accounted for the majority of these, completing 2,901 transactions worth about 509,000 dinars, while individual applicants submitted 1,254 transactions totaling 58,000 dinars.



Meanwhile, the Industrial Models Department processed 361 transactions with fees of roughly 2,600 dinars, primarily for model deposits, followed by issuance, publication, and renewal requests.
