
A train derailed on the Kerman–Zarand railway line in southern Iran today, injuring 30 people but causing no fatalities, Iranian media reported.
Babak Mahmoudi, head of the Iranian Red Crescent’s Relief and Rescue Organization, told Mehr News Agency that rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the site.
According to a statement from the National Railways Organization’s public relations office, carried by Tasnim News Agency, all passengers were safely evacuated after the arrival of railway technical staff and emergency crews.
