3.5 magnitude earthquake hits northeast Kuwait
The earthquake occurred at 4:46 PM local time at a depth of 6 kilometers. A 2.2 magnitude aftershock was recorded at 6:33 PM in the same location.
A 3.5 magnitude earthquake struck northeast of Kuwait on Wednesday, as reported by the Kuwait National Seismic Network at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research.
The seismic event occurred at 4:46 PM local time and originated at a depth of 6 kilometers below the Earth’s surface.
In addition to the initial earthquake, a 2.2 magnitude aftershock was recorded at 6:33 PM in the same area and at a similar depth.
