258 violators of law, wanted persons arrested during nationwide security sweep

In a nationwide security campaign, personnel from the General Department of Residence Affairs have arrested of 258 violators of residence and labor laws and people who had arrest warrants issued against them for various reasons, including absconding, overstaying visa stays.
The Ministry of Interior said it is committed to pursuing violators of the Residence and Labor Law, crack down on illegal workers, and targeting those who undermine, what the ministry called, public order.
The ministry stressed accountability will apply equally to violators and employers with no exceptions, in line with the country’s legal provisions.
This campaign, was carried out under the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah under the supervision of Brigadier General Fawaz Al-Roumi, Head of the Nationality, Residence and Citizenship Sector, as part of Kuwait’s broader strategy to uphold the law and protect public rights.
The Ministry reiterated the campaigns will continue to protect national stability.
