23 drug traffickers, addicts arrested in nationwide campaign

Authorities confiscate cocaine, heroin, meth and psychotropic pills

The Criminal Security Sector of the Ministry of Interior, through the Directorate-General for Drug Control, conducted an extensive campaign across multiple regions of Kuwait, resulting in the arrest of 23 suspects of different nationalities for possessing narcotics and psychotropic substances.

The Ministry reported that the confiscated items included approximately 160 grams of cocaine, 2.5 kilograms of hashish, 1.25 kilograms of marijuana, 1 kilogram of chemical drugs, 200 grams of heroin, 500 grams of crystal meth, and 15,000 psychotropic pills, in addition to 14 bottles of alcohol, 15 sensitive narcotics scales, 2 firearms, and a quantity of unlicensed ammunition in 14 different incidents, reports Al-Rai daily.

The Ministry confirmed that these seizures were the result of thorough field operations and investigations, highlighting the diligence and vigilance of security personnel in pursuing and apprehending those involved in drug-related crimes.

Authorities emphasized that security campaigns would continue with full firmness and without leniency, and that maximum legal measures would be taken against anyone proven to be involved in drug offenses, in order to safeguard the security and safety of society.
