22nd Supreme Military Committee meeting underscores unity and joint security goals
Gulf Chiefs of Staff discuss defense coordination and combat readiness in Kuwait

The twenty-second meeting of the Supreme Military Committee of Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries convened Thursday morning in Kuwait, in the presence of the Assistant Secretary-General for Military Affairs at the GCC Secretariat, the Commander of the Unified Military Command, and several senior commanders and officers.
The meeting was chaired by the Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shuraiaan, who welcomed the participants to Kuwait and conveyed the greetings of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali Abdullah Al-Sabah, expressing his deep appreciation for their continued efforts to support and strengthen joint Gulf military cooperation.
Al-Shuraiaan emphasized that the meeting represents a continuation of the path of military integration and coordination among the GCC states, reflecting the collective determination to reinforce unity and solidarity in addressing regional challenges and ensuring stability.
During the session, the Chiefs of Staff discussed several agenda items, focusing on enhancing defense cooperation, coordinating operational and training frameworks, and raising the level of combat readiness. These efforts, participants affirmed, align with the strategic vision of GCC leaders to promote security, stability, and joint military preparedness across member states.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of GCC armed forces to continued collaboration and unified defense planning in support of regional peace and collective security.
