2,000 applicants vie for medical services, Hajj campaign roles

Applicants for Kuwait's Hajj medical team are being evaluated and will soon be submitted to the Minister of Health for approval.

The Ministry of Health has closed the application process for joining the medical services team and the Hajj campaign staff, with nearly 2,000 applicants registered.

Health sources informed Al-Anbaa newspaper that the names of applicants seeking to join the medical team of the Kuwaiti Hajj delegation and the Kuwaiti Hajj campaigns are currently being sorted and counted. This process is being carried out in accordance with established conditions and controls, as preparation for submission to the Minister of Health for approval. A ministerial decision regarding this matter is expected to be issued soon.

The conditions for doctors wishing to join the medical services team of the Kuwaiti Hajj delegation include having specializations in internal medicine or its branches, family medicine, general practice, or emergency medicine (internal surgery). They must also hold a valid license to practice in Kuwait and have a job title of “registered” or higher.

Regarding pharmacists, nurses, health inspectors, and emergency medical technicians, they are required to hold a diploma in their respective specialty or higher. Additionally, they must be employed by the Ministry of Health and possess a valid license to practice their profession.

For administrators, they must have been employees of the Ministry of Health for a minimum of five years, with at least five years of experience. It’s worth noting that applications for the medical services team are open to Kuwaiti citizens only.
