1,900 retreaded tires sold as new seized during raid on warehouse

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry raided a warehouse involved in retreading used tires and selling them as new.
According to ministry sources over 1,900 dangerously refurbished tires that do not meet safety and technical standards have been seized. This blatant act of commercial fraud posed a serious risk to public safety.
The Al-Anba daily said, emergency inspection teams raided the illegal facility following thorough investigations, took swift action, and referred the case to the authorities for legal proceedings and penalties.
The Ministry stressed its zero-tolerance policy toward any actions that compromise consumer safety and called on the public to purchase tires from trusted sources and report suspicious activity.
