157 individuals lose Kuwait nationality as Govt continues to identify forgers

The names of 154 individuals have been published in Kuwait Alyawm government gazette according to Decree No. 88 of 2025, which stipulates the revocation of Kuwaiti citizenship from them and anyone who may have acquired it as their descendants.

Meanwhile, the government has also published Cabinet Resolution No. 553 of 2025, which includes the names of three more individuals whose citizenship was revoked — along with those who gained it through dependency — under the provisions of Article (21 bis A) of Kuwaiti Nationality Law No. (15) of 1959 and its amendments, citing forgery as the cause.

The total number of individuals affected by both actions stands at 157.

These measures reflect the government’s continued efforts to uphold the integrity of the nationality system and enforce the legal provisions governing citizenship.
