
According to statistics released by the Real Estate Registration and Documentation Department at the Ministry of Justice on Sunday, a total of 123 real estate contracts were traded across Kuwait from May 18 to 22, with a combined value of approximately 76.8 million dinars (around $253 million).
The private real estate transactions dominated the market, with 100 contracts signed, totaling 41.2 million dinars (about $136 million), reports Al-Jarida daily.
Investment real estate followed, with 22 contracts worth 30.4 million dinars (roughly $100 million), while the commercial sector recorded a single transaction valued at 5 million dinars (approximately $16.5 million). No activity was recorded in the crafts, exhibitions, or industrial sectors during the week.
In terms of geographical distribution, the Capital Governorate saw 15 private real estate contracts, seven investment contracts, and one commercial contract.
Hawalli Governorate saw 17 private and seven investment contracts traded; followed by Farwaniya Governorate with 17 private contracts and four investment deals.
The Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate had eight private contracts, while Ahmadi Governorate registered the highest volume, with 36 private contracts and four investment deals.
The Jahra Governorate reported only seven private real estate transactions.
