110,000 citizens, 790,000 expatriates yet to complete biometric fingerprints

The Ministry of Interior confirmed no issues for patients abroad or scholarship students lacking biometric fingerprinting until their return to Kuwait.

Lieutenant Colonel Hamad Jassim Al-Shammari from the Department of Personal Investigation and Automated Research at the Ministry of Interior stated in an interview with Al-Akhbar Channel that 110,000 citizens have yet to undergo biometric fingerprinting out of a total of 900,500 citizens. Additionally, approximately 790,000 individuals remain unfingerprinted from a total population of 2.6 million, according to Al Jarida newspaper.

He added that the turnout has reached 6,000 people per day, up from 600 before the announcement of measures against violators.

Lieutenant Colonel Hamad Al-Shammari noted that there are no irregularities or procedures for treatment patients abroad and scholarship students who have not undergone biometric fingerprinting until their return to the country.
