Saudi Foreign Minister condemns Israeli strikes in call with Iranian counterpart

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan in a telephone conversation today with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, strongly condemned the Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The call came amid rising regional tensions following Israeli airstrikes and reports of intercepted missiles and drones across the region, reports Al-Rai daily.

Prince Faisal firmly rejected the use of force as a means to address disputes, emphasizing the urgent need for dialogue and diplomatic engagement to resolve differences.

He warned that the Israeli attack not only represents a dangerous escalation but also undermines ongoing efforts to defuse tensions and pursue peaceful solutions.

The conversation highlighted Saudi Arabia’s concern over the destabilizing consequences of the strikes, as well as its broader call for restraint and international cooperation to avoid further deterioration of regional security.

Meanwhile, international airlines have begun canceling or diverting flights in response to the volatile situation, and Jordan announced that its air defense forces intercepted several missiles and drones that had entered its airspace earlier today.
