U.S. President Donald Trump warned that “all hell will rain down” on Iran if the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened by Monday, amid rapidly escalating tensions in the region.
The warning comes as the search for a weapons officer from a U.S. fighter jet shot down over Iran enters its second day. Iranian authorities said two U.S. warplanes were downed—one in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, and another that crashed in the Gulf.

Meanwhile, U.S.-Israeli strikes reportedly hit two petrochemical facilities in southern Iran’s Khuzestan Province, while one person was killed in a separate strike targeting the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant.
In response, the United Arab Emirates said it intercepted 23 ballistic missiles and 56 drones launched by Iran, bearing the brunt of retaliatory attacks targeting Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
