Suicide attempt ends in lifetime ban for Indian national

Authorities at the Ministry of Interior have ordered the deportation of an Indian man for life after he attempted suicide by jumping off Jaber Bridge.
A security source told Al-Rai newspaper that during a routine patrol on Wednesday morning, Coast Guard personnel spotted the man on the bridge attempting to take his own life. They intervened immediately, preventing the attempt. The man, later identified as Indian, was taken into custody for further investigation.
The source continued, “The individual admitted that he was facing personal difficulties and believed suicide was his only solution. He was referred to the relevant authorities, who ordered his deportation and a lifetime entry ban.”
