Study reveals warning signs of sudden cardiac death in healthy individuals

A Swedish study has identified potential warning signs of sudden cardiac death, even in healthy, fit individuals. Known as “sudden arrhythmic death syndrome” (SADS), these incidents often occur in young people without prior heart disease.

Symptoms like nausea, fever, muscle aches, and irregular heartbeats may precede an unexpected cardiac arrest, according to Life Technology.

The study, which analyzed 903 sudden deaths from 2000 to 2010, found that 22% of these cases were due to SADS, with victims averaging 23 years old, 64% of them were male.
The research highlights the importance of recognizing these often-misunderstood symptoms.
