The US Secret Service said that an individual was shot and injured by a law enforcement officer at 15th Street and Independence Avenue in Washington, D.C., on Monday night.
The condition of the injured person is currently unknown, according to a brief statement from the Secret Service Police. The incident resulted from a confrontation between the “armed individual” and the officer.
