Zuckerberg and Musk trade hypothetical blows on ‘cage fight’

The two competing billionaires in the world of social networks, Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, exchanged virtual blows again on Sunday regarding the “cage fight”, as the founder of the “Meta” network considered that the owner of “X” (formerly Twitter) does not take seriously the proposed duel between them in mixed martial arts.

“I think we all agree that Elon is not serious, and it is time to move on,” Zuckerberg wrote on his Threads platform, which he launched last month.

He added, “I offered a real date (for the fight) … but Elon did not confirm any date, then said that he needed surgery, and now requests a training round in my garden instead.”

Musk quickly responded via X, the platform he bought last year, calling Zuckerberg a “coward” and announcing his intention to head to Silicon Valley. On Sunday, he wrote, “I can’t wait to knock on his door…”.

At the end of June, the heads of the competing giants “X” and “Meta” discussed the possibility of their confrontation in a videotaped fight in mixed martial arts (MMA), while there was talk a few days ago of August 26 as a possible date for this confrontation.

Musk announced on his “X” platform, on Friday, that the potential fight might take place in Italy, while the Italian government confirmed that there were talks about a “major charity event.”

In response, Zuckerberg said at the time, “If an actual date is ever approved, you will know from me. Until then, please assume that anything (Musk) says has not been agreed upon.
