The price of local zubaidi fish in the Sharq market dropped sharply over the weekend. The large one was sold for no more than 95 dinars, the medium fish cost between 65 and 75 dinars, and the small fish between 35 and 45 dinars, Al-Anbaa reported.
This is due mainly to the hot weather and many traveling outside the country. It negatively affects the market after witnessing a weak turnout from consumers, most of whom were citizens who were keen to take advantage of the acceptable prices for imported fish.
According to Al-Anbaa, imported fish was abundant, which significantly affected the prices. The price of a piece of large grouper 7 or 8 kg did not exceed 30 dinars, while the cod from 300 to 500 was sold for 45 dinars. The price of the importer’s code is 10 kg in the morning, but it ranges between 7 and 8 kg in the afternoon.
