After 5 years in the entertainment oblivion the Yom Al-Bahar heritage village is moving to make radical changes, whether in terms of services or providing games for children, restaurants and other stores in the heritage facility.
A source told a local Arabic daily the heritage facility was suffering from neglect in the past, the deterioration of the games and the failure to carry out necessary maintenance by the investor, as well as the absence of security and safety in the children’s games area which led to a dispute between the Ministry of Information and the investor that lasted for years and that the ministry was finally able to overcome this dilemma and has placed village in the area of its among other priorities to revitalize the tourism sector in the country.
Sources said the ministry is expected to hold an introductory meeting with the bidders who obtained the documents on the Oct 23 to answer their inquiries and explain the details of the required works.
