The launch event held at the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel at Burj Alshaya, was attended by several ambassadors and diplomats. In his opening speech, Ambassador of the European Union to Kuwait H.E. Dr. Cristian Tudor highlighted the importance of food as a form of expression of cultural heritage, identities, social lives, and traditions in Europe, just as in Kuwait.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-99256\" src=\"http:\/\/timeskuwait.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/First-EU-Cookbook-Launched-in-Kuwait.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/timeskuwait.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/First-EU-Cookbook-Launched-in-Kuwait.jpg 683w, https:\/\/timeskuwait.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/First-EU-Cookbook-Launched-in-Kuwait-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/timeskuwait.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/First-EU-Cookbook-Launched-in-Kuwait-280x420.jpg 280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The EU cookbook, \u2018<em>A Union of European Flavors\u2019<\/em> is a celebration of European culinary traditions and its launch highlights unity in diversity of the EU, with selected recipes from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe EU diversity is best reflected by the richness of European cuisine, which is witnessed by all foreigners traveling through Europe,\u201d explained Ambassador Tudor.<\/p>\n<p>The highlight of the evening was a live-demo of the dishes with Ambassador Tudor and other ambassadors donning the chef\u2019s apron to demonstrate some of the exquisite recipes. Executive Chef at the Four Seasons Hotel at Burj Alshaya,\u00a0 Thierry Papillier, and Kuwaiti Chef\u00a0 Hanouf Al-Balhan assisted during the demo, explaining the processes involved and highlighting the finer points of the dishes being cooked.
