When the Members of Parliament called for easing restrictions and not making vaccination mandatory, the Ministry of Health team submitted a comprehensive presentation supported by numbers, studies, and statistics on the importance of the vaccine and the impact it had on the stability of the health system and alleviating the complications of people infected with the virus, while Minister Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed announced, \u201cIt is time to make amendments to Corona\u2019s procedures, but with caution.\u201d<\/p>\n
Al-Saeed explained that \u201cthere is flexibility to amend all previous decisions, and that the requirements were primarily set in the interest of everyone,\u201d noting that \u201cthe continuation of the pandemic requires adaptation to it and flexibility in dealing with the epidemiological situation,\u201d reports Al-Rai daily.<\/p>\n
He stressed that he would refer any suspicion of infringement on public money directly to the prosecution, “and I will not bear the responsibility of infringing public money, neither in this world nor in the hereafter.”<\/p>\n
Al-Saeed\u2019s responses were widely welcomed by the deputies who declared their readiness to work \u201chand in hand,\u201d while National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim, on behalf of the Parliament\u2019s presidency, saluted, paid respect, appreciation, and homage to members of the \u2018White Army\u2019, stressed that \u201cthe pandemic is not used as a political tool within the parliament, and the reference is Law No. 8 of 1969\u201d regarding health precautions to prevent communicable diseases.<\/p>\n
Dr. Al-Saeed announced the list of employees (front row workers) has been submitted to the Civil Service Commission and that the reward is supposed to be disbursed within the next few days.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Minister of Health confirmed that \u201cthe ministry is working to introduce a rapid test to free people from home quarantine and quantities have been requested and will be made available as soon as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n
At the end of the session, Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim read out a number of parliamentary decisions and recommendations, announcing the postponement of voting on them to the next session due to the lack of a quorum, the most important of which are:
\n1 – Form a neutral monitoring committee to receive complaints from those affected by the vaccine.
\n2 – Lifting restrictions on non-vaccine recipients and sufficing with PCR examination.
\n3 – The second dose is sufficient to consider the person fully immunized.
\n4 – Failure to differentiate between children who received a dose of the vaccine and those who did not receive the vaccine.
\n5 – Not requiring a prior PCR for citizens returning to Kuwait.
\n6 – Forming a parliamentary investigation committee to investigate the financial and technical matters, decisions and practices of the Ministry of Health during the Corona pandemic from January 1, 2020, to date.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
