The Royal Malaysian Air Force is currently negotiating with the concerned Kuwaiti authorities to purchase dozens of used \u2018Hornet\u2019 fighters, which are produced by the American \u2018McDonnell Douglas\u2019 company, which is now part of Boeing according to a report published by the Malaysian newspaper \u2018The Star\u2019.<\/p>\n
The newspaper quoted Malaysian Deputy Defense Minister Ikmal Hisham Abdulaziz as telling his country’s parliament, “This will be a comprehensive deal to purchase 33 used F\/A-18C and F\/A-18D Hornet fighters owned by the Kuwait Air Force and the aircraft are still in good condition and have low operating hours, reports Al-Rai daily.<\/p>\n
Abdulaziz added: \u201cHowever, this initiative is still awaiting the results of discussions and negotiations at the government level between the relevant authorities in the two countries.
