The Residence Affairs Departments in the six governorates are said to have electronically renewed residence permits of 12,000 domestic workers in just two days as per the new rules and regulations with what the authorities called \u201cwith speed and ease\u201d and added the system works very efficiently.<\/p>\n
It is worth mentioning the government has done away with the \u2018sticker\u2019 which was earlier placed on the passport showing the validity of the work permit.<\/p>\n
The daily added, most of these transactions were completed by the Farwaniya and Capital governorates. The source added that the expatriate whose transaction has been completed is given a printout containing the residence data, signed and stamped by the department to go to the Public Authority for Civil Information for the issuance of the Civil Card on the same day.<\/p>\n
