The results of a joint research study showed that the mutated coronavirus variant of India origin is less virulent and dangerous for people who have been vaccinated compared to those who did not receive any vaccination, Al Rai daily reported.<\/p>\n
The study was conducted by the Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomic Consortia (INSACOG) in charge of researching the coronavirus, in collaboration with scientists from the University of Cambridge in Britain, where a recently published research paper stated: “the data produced by laboratory studies show that complete vaccination not only provides protection against acute infections from the India mutant coronavirus variant, but also contributes to curbing the ferocity and reduce deaths from infection.\u201d<\/p>\n
Among the other study findings, the India mutant Covid variant loses a significant part of its ferocity in the face of any of the vaccines currently available, but that loss is especially greater when a patient is immunized with the Pfizer vaccine, whose composition depends on mRNA technology.<\/p>\n
It is noteworthy that the India coronavirus variant or known as B.1.617, is characterized by rapid spread and the ability to evade vaccines and antibodies, and it is considered very dangerous due to its double genetic mutations.
