This layered crispy puri is just like simple farsi (crispy) puri with a colorful and beautiful design. It is really tasty, crispy and very easy to make. You can make these puris ahead of time and serve with Masala Tea or coffee, to guests when they visit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Ingredients<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maida\u00a0 2 cup<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ghee\u00a0 4 tbsp<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Salt\u00a0 as per taste<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Carom seeds\u00a0 1 tsp<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Water as required to make dough\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oil for frying<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ghee for greasing<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dry flour<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You will need to make four different color dough\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Red food colour\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Green food colour<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Turmeric powder\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ordinary dough<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Directions<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Divide the dough into four portions of \u00bd cup each<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a mixing bowl add salt, \u00bc carom seeds and a color to each portion\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mix each portion well between palms with a little ghee.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add enough ghee so the dough holds shape when pressed between palms.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gradually add water and make a stiff dough.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The dough should not be too soft, or it will not get the desired flaky texture.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Knead the dough at least for 5 to 7 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cover and keep it aside at least for 30 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Take one small portion from each color dough and make a firm ball, flatten it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On a rolling board, roll each color dough into a big thin roti\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now take the green color roti.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apply ghee on the upper side. Sprinkle dry flour to coat well.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Place the plain colored roti on it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apply ghee on the upper side. Apply ghee and sprinkle flour as above\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally, place the turmeric color roti.Apply little ghee and sprinkle flour.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Make a tight roll.
