Earlier this year in January, #Kuwait #Cricket board President Mr. Haider Farman handed over annual national contracts worth a total of $70 000 to as many as 20 players (men\u2019s category), a pathbreaking move to encourage & reward talented cricketers who consistently commit at domestic & international level for Kuwait whilst maintaining their full time jobs to support their families.*<\/p>\n

During the ceremony earlier this year, the President of Kuwait Cricket Mr. Haider Farman had emphasized that \u201cthis is just a beginning from Kuwait Cricket board for its national players (men\u2019s) and will repeat the same for the women\u2019s category as well and the board is now focused on building a new turf facility (permanent home of cricket in Kuwait) affiliated to and fully backed by the government – Public Authority of Sport & Kuwait Olympic Committee as well as the ICC & ACC which is bound to compliment the existing infrastructure of Kuwait Cricket and provide players with high performance training & practicing facilities\u201d.<\/p>\n
Kuwait national team led by Mohammad Aslam is scheduled to participate in two big international tournaments next year – ICC World Cup Qualifiers and the final leg of Asia Cup Qualifiers apart from the Bilateral series which will be arranged by the Kuwait Cricket Board & the development team at KC.<\/p>\n
Concluding the ceremony yesterday, Director General Sajid Ashraf announced that new contracts for the year 2021 will be released by the KC President Haider Farman & Vice President Faisal Al Marzouk in January and the final selection of players will be done by the national coach Pushpkaumara in December.<\/p>\n
