A young Kuwaiti man was arrested for the attempted murder of his mother after breaking into her apartment in Al Salmiya area of the Hawalli Governorate, an Arabic daily reported.<\/p>\n
Officers arrived after receiving a report that a young man was trying to kill his mother. Upon reaching the Security officers managed to control the man and convince him to drop the knife.<\/p>\n
It was found out through an investigation that the suspect was a former policeman at Kuwait\u2019s Interior Ministry and he told the investigators that he had done so because he dreamed of his mother practicing black magic.<\/p>\n
The suspect said he intended to kill his mother to stop her from practicing witchcraft.<\/p>\n
The mother, however, refused to file a case against her son, who was dismissed from his job as a police officer in February. She told police that her son is receiving addiction treatment at a rehabilitation hospital.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
