Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr. Fahad Al-Afasi recently met with Sheikha Fadia Saad Al-Abdullah who was accompanied by a delegation consisting of members of the Union of Victims of Real Estate Frauds, a number of Kuwaiti officials, and academics. His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled agreed to the visit in response to Sheikha Fadia\u2019s appeal to understand the suffering of those affected by real estate frauds, to assign the Minister of Justice to follow up this file and come up with solutions to the issue that has grown in the current stage, especially after the uncovering of many corruption cases.<\/p>\n
Regarding the meeting with the Minister of Justice, Sheikha Fadia praised his support, and mentioned that he listened attentively to the details of the issue and promised to launch further studies with the aim of developing radical solutions to the problem that has so far claimed nearly 20,000 Kuwaiti victims as well as a number of Gulf nationals and expatriates. Citizens have endured the worst case of psychological and social impact after their savings were drained due to the frauds.<\/p>\n
Sheikha Fadia praised His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad on his recent speech when he stressed that \u201cKuwait before coronavirus is not Kuwait after coronavirus\u201d and called for concerted efforts to cooperate and rebuild. She revealed that the case grabbed her attention due to the fact that women were the target group, along with many men who fell into the trap of real estate frauds. Sheikha Fadia noted that such frauds are malicious ideas that seek to strike the cohesion of the Kuwaiti family, which is destroyed by debts from the real estate companies such that they were unable to obtain rights to the property or be free of the debts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
