The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said in its report that the total number of positive cases rose to 456,183 and the death toll due to the pandemic so far jumped to 14,476.<\/p>\n
Maharashtra, Delhi, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat are considered the worst affected Indian states in wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, it said.<\/p>\n
The Indian government had decided to extend the lockdown in containment zones while giving key relaxations in the less affected areas.
