The corruption case involving a Syrian businessman and an employee from the Labor Inspection Department of the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM), has been brought to a speedy conclusion by personnel from the Residence Investigation Affairs of the Ministry of Interior.<\/p>\n
According to the case diary, the PAM official was paid KD1,000 each month by the Syrian in exchange for ignoring the employment irregularities committed by him.<\/p>\n
The official has been charged with accepting bribes and misusing his authority to assist the Syrian man in breaking labor laws and the laws of the country. Both men have been referred to the public prosecution for further legal procedures.<\/p>\n
Interior ministry personnel led by Colonel Sheikh Abdullah Al-Malik Al-Sabah received information about the violations committed by the Syrian, who ran a company in partnership with an unidentified Kuwaiti.<\/p>\n
