The municipality was lauded and criticised by member Abdelsalam Al-Randi , who while congratulating the municipality on the new contracts wondered how the companies who had committed over 21 violations since signing the contract were fined only KD200. He pointed out that it was strange that you have to pay a fine of KD200 to KD300 for throwing tissue on the street, but companies that commit gross cleanliness violations are fined only a meager KD200. He blamed the municipality for its weak supervision of the cleaning companies.<\/p>\n
