Restaurant delivery mopeds, scooters, and motorbikes, speeding through traffic, driving recklessly and weaving from lane to lane in a way that often leads to traffic accidents and injuries to the driver, has become a normal sight on our roads.<\/p>\n
These vehicles, with their oversized delivery boxes in the rear, are in many cases imperfectly balanced and can cause them to topple over in traffic.<\/p>\n
Now the traffic department has decided to act and last week launched a campaign against these delivery bikes, which resulted in the issuing of 109 citations for various violations.<\/p>\n
The traffic cops also impounded 97 motorbikes and referred violators to concerned authorities for legal action.
