A fire that broke out at a house in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area was extinguished by the fire brigade, whose timely action prevented the flames from spreading to neighboring houses.<\/p>\n
Four teams from Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Farwaniya, Al-Ardiya and Musharraf fire brigades, led by the Acting Director of the Farwaniya fire brigade, rushed to the scene within four minutes from receiving news of the fire.<\/p>\n
Cars parked on either side of the narrow road leading to fire site made access difficult for the fire-engines, and firemen were forced to deploy their water hoses from a distance. Items such as carpets, sponges, furniture and tents that were lying about the house further fueled the fire and give rise to thick acrid smoke plumes that engulfed the area.<\/p>\n
One person who was reported to have jumped from the building before the arrival of the fire brigade, sustained serious fracture and was taken to the hospital by paramedics.
