In 2022, the UK\u2019s bilateral trade between the UK and the Middle East and Pakistan (MEaP) reached an all-time high of \u00a361.3bn, with bilateral trade between the UK and Kuwait standing at \u00a34.7 billion &#8211; an increase of 93.8% on 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining the Department for Business and Trade, Oliver\u00a0was Head of the Prime Minister&#8217;s Business Unit in\u00a0Downing Street,\u00a0having\u00a0served\u00a0four prime ministers from 2019 to 2023. Oliver\u00a0has been\u00a0responsible for maintaining a trusted link between the Prime Minister, Whitehall and the boardrooms of UK and international businesses and investors.
