Kuwaiti national Muhammad Al-Ajmi narrates his dilemma when he arrived at the Kuwait International Airport saying he left the country alive and healthy and entered a \u2018dead person\u2019.<\/p>\n
He added he arrived on August 5 and the airport employee shocked him by saying the records show that he is a dead person and made him feel that he was a corpse standing in front of the immigration officer.<\/p>\n
He said the records confirmed that he had left the country during July three times through the Nuwaiseeb port and did not encounter any problem.<\/p>\n
Al-Ajmi told Al-Rai he was born in 1986, works in the private sector, and is married with three children. When he arrived at Kuwait Airport on August 5, at exactly ten in the morning, he was surprised that the data recorded on the computer said he died on July 3.<\/p>\n
Al-Ajmi added that after a four-hour investigation inside the airport, he signed a pledge to report to the official authorities to amend his status.<\/p>\n
He explained that the next day he went to the Public Authority for Civil Information, which confirmed that he has died according to a death certificate issued by the Department of Births and Deaths in the Ministry of Health, indicating that the certificate bears his civil number by virtue of him being the sponsor of the deceased Nepalese maid who was reported missing for two years.<\/p>\n
The employee asked him to go to the Ministry of Health, to rectify the error so that he can visit the government agencies himself to correct his status.<\/p>\n
Al-Ajmi added that he went to the MOH Department of Births and Deaths to obtain the required certificate, but one of the officials refused to grant him that certificate, and after a long argument, he told him, “Trust in God and go to the courts, adjust your situation.”<\/p>\n
Accordingly, he went to the Attorneys Department at the Ministry of Justice, to appoint a lawyer to file a case against the Ministry of Health, for making this fatal mistake and demanding that it make a quick amendment and bring him back to life in government records.<\/p>\n
However, the biggest surprise was that the notary of the Power of Attorney Department refused to grant him the power of attorney, on the grounds that he was \u201cdead\u2026 so how can a deceased person appoint a lawyer?\u201d<\/p>\n
Al-Ajmi appealed to the concerned authorities to intervene to save him and get him out of this messed up situation, the result of a mistake committed by a government employee who put his civil number on the death certificate of the maid, which led to the burial of her body in her country, Nepal, carrying his civil number.<\/p>\n
He regrets the situation he finds himself in, which made his wife a widow. In addition to his fears his livelihood will be cut off when the death certificate reaches his workplace, and then the biggest disaster, that in the event of his wife becoming pregnant and giving birth, he will not be able to obtain the child’s birth certificate.
