The Ministry of Health has confirmed that there are a total of 73 child health care clinics in primary health care centers across all governorates in Kuwait. The ministry said in a press statement that these clinics are integrated clinics that provide both preventive and curative care for children under the age of five. The ministry explained that one of the most important services offered by the clinics in primary health care centers is monitoring and tracking a child’s physical growth, mental and cognitive development, and conducting medical examinations as needed.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the clinics provide vaccinations in accordance with the national vaccination program, health education services for parents, support for breastfeeding, and nutritional evaluation. These clinics also provide screening services for common diseases that affect children at these stages, such as obesity, hearing problems, vision problems, congenital hip dislocation, developmental delay, and autism spectrum disorder.
