<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mariachi <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">interprets <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">traditional <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">music <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">fundamental <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">element <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mexican <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">culture <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">through <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">which <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">values<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Although the state of Jalisco is considered to be the cradle of mariachi music, it has also been a relevant figure in other states such as Colima, Michoac\u00e1n and Zacatecas, where its music is performed in public squares to the delight of national and foreign tourism, as well as in serenades, to liven up parties and meetings or activities in different parts of the world.<\/p>\n<p>The musical influence of mariachi has transcended borders, where they have integrated this type of music with their own. This is the case of Mariachi Romatitl\u00e1n, whose origin in Italy dates back to 1983 and which is made up of musicians of different nationalities, mainly from Italy and Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the origin of the word mariachi, there are two versions. One, that the word comes from the French mariage (marriage); It is said that in Jalisco during the French occupation of the country (1864-1867), musicians were hired to brighten up weddings; however, this version is not substantiated. The second version indicates that the mariachi had its origins in popular music and in the artists of Nueva Galicia, today Guadalajara.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mariachi <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">has <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">taken <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">root <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">traditional <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mexican <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">music <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">through <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">its <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ranchero<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">bolero<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">instrumental genres<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">as <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">well <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">as <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">arrangements <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and fusions <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">symphonic <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">accompaniment<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">giving <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">it <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a renewed <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">air<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reaching <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">popularity <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">it <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">currently <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">holds<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in
