On the occasion of the Egyptian embassy\u2019s celebrations for the national holidays of the State of Kuwait, and under the auspices of the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the State of Kuwait, Osama Shaltout, in cooperation with the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters, held \u201cTogether in Love of Kuwait\u201d at the Free Studio, where 40 artists from the Egyptian community as well as the State of Kuwait, Lebanon, Iraq and Palestine, joined together to paint a 20-meter-long mural that carried flashes of the two countries’ heritage. <\/p>\n
The Egyptian Ambassador Osama Shaltout praised the occasion by pointing out that this is the sixth in the series of the embassy’s celebrations for the national holidays of the State of Kuwait, and that it comes with the participation of artists from different nationalities under one roof to express their happiness for Kuwait’s holidays along with their pride in being a part of Kuwait\u2019s civilization. <\/p>\n
He further stressed that the Kuwaiti-Egyptian relations are firmly rooted in the depths of history, as they are characterized by family ties, and there is also mutual support at all levels which continue through intensive mutual visits. The most important recent visit being the visit of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi last year. <\/p>\n
Ambassador Shaltout added that the joy of the Egyptian community on Kuwait’s national holidays and Liberation Day is the truest expression of the depth of the bonds that has united the two since ancient times, as the artists presented a joint collective artwork in one capacity that bears the originality and history of the two countries in a common artistic template. <\/p>\n
The Assistant Secretary-General for the Fine Arts Sector, Musaed Al-Zamil, expressed his happiness with his presence at the event and congratulated the Egyptian embassy\u2019s cohesion and participation for the idea and theme of the joint artistic work, in which the Egyptian-Kuwaiti culture was expressed in a joyful artistic form. <\/p>\n
On the same context, the Consul General of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Heba Zaki, extended her congratulations to the State of Kuwait, the government and people and expressed her happiness in sharing the joy for the first time since her arrival in Kuwait to assume the duties of her position, by praising the depth of bilateral relationships between the people. <\/p>\n
She added that this relationship is, evidenced by the artistic work that shows that the people of the community are proud of their second homeland, Kuwait, and that they make every effort with the rest of the foreign communities to achieve the development that Kuwait deserves.
