Hot Chili Paneer, a favorite Indo-Chinese fusion dish, can be served as an appetizer, snack or as a side to a main course. If serving as a side, serve with fried rice and an Asian curry of choice.<\/p>\n<p>Indo-Chinese cuisine is usually made using chicken but, for all the vegetarians out there, paneer is an amazing substitute for chicken and it absolutely gives the perfect flavor as chicken.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Total Time:<\/strong> 30 minutes<br \/>\n<strong>Serving:<\/strong> 2-3 people<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><br \/>\nFor coating paneer:<br \/>\n200g paneer<br \/>\n2 tbsp all-purpose flour<br \/>\n2 tbsp corn flour<br \/>\nSalt to taste<br \/>\n1 tsp soy sauce<br \/>\n1 tbsp red chili sauce<br \/>\n1 tbsp tomato ketchup<br \/>\n1 tsp lemon juice<br \/>\n\u00bc cup water<br \/>\nVegetable oil for deep frying<\/p>\n<p><strong>For sauteing:<\/strong><br \/>\n2 tbsp sesame oil<br \/>\n1 inch ginger piece<br \/>\n4-5 garlic cloves<br \/>\n1 onion<br \/>\n1 capsicum<br \/>\n1 tsp soy sauce<br \/>\n1 tbsp corn flour (dissolved in 3-4 tbsp water)<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp pepper powder<br \/>\nSalt to taste<br \/>\n3-4 green chili<\/p>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chop the paneer into cubes<\/li>\n<li>Dice onion, capsicum to cube shape<\/li>\n<li>Slit green chillies lengthwise<\/li>\n<li>Chop finely ginger garlic<\/li>\n<li>In a bowl, make a thick paste of all-purpose flour, cornflour, salt with a little water Add paneer cubes, mix gently and marinate for 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Heat oil in a deep frying pan<\/li>\n<li>Drop the marinated paneer cubes into the hot oil<\/li>\n<li>Once cooked, drain the excess oil in kitchen paper and set aside<\/li>\n<li>To make the saute, heat a wok and add 2 tbsp of oil<\/li>\n<li>Add chopped garlic\/ ginger, saute until the raw smell disappears<\/li>\n<li>Add slit green chilies and saute for a few seconds more<\/li>\n<li>Add onion, capsicum and fry on high for half a minute<\/li>\n<li>Add the sauces, pepper and salt and stir well<\/li>\n<li>Add fried paneer cubes to the wok<\/li>\n<li>Stir to coat the paneer with the sauce mix<\/li>\n<li>Remove from flame, add lemon juice and combine well<\/li>\n<li>Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and spring onions, mix well and saute for a minute before serving.<br \/>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/timeskuwait.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Chhaya-Thakker-1.jpg\" alt=\"Indian Chef Chhaya Thakker, who has a huge following online on WhatsApp and YouTube will be sharing her favorite recipes and cooking tips with readers of The Times Kuwait.
