A grand Onam festival was celebrated on 1 September, at the Embassy of India, as part of the State facilitation event on the south Indian state of Kerala<\/p>\n
Delivering his inaugural remarks on the occasion, Ambassador of India to Kuwait, H.E. Sibi George extended warm greetings to all Indians in Kuwait on the occasion of Onam festival. Ambassador also noted that over the years, Onam has become one of the most celebrated and most awaited festivals of India in Kuwait not only by the Indian community but also by many Kuwaitis.<\/p>\n
Ambassador pointed out that this year the Embassy was celebrating Onam in partnership with Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC) who had taken the initiative to organize the Onam Sadhya, thanking the new IBPC leadership for its initiative.<\/p>\n
He highlighted that Onam had indeed become one of the national festivals of India transcending the regional, linguistic and even religious and cultural diversities. He remarked that \u201cby celebrating Onam, we are celebrating our history, our\u00a0 civilizational ethos, our family values and above all the spirit of \u2018Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam\u2019 (World is one family).<\/p>\n\r\n
