The Director-General of the General Administration of Kuwait Customs, Suleiman Al-Fahad, announced Thursday the launch of the first phase of electronic services and the integrated regular mechanisms to authorize the Kuwait registered cars to be driven to the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

Al-Fahd said in a press statement that these services enable individual car owners to submit the request electronically through electronic link channels with the Public Authority for Civil Information through the “My Identity” application, reports a local Arabic daily quoting KUNA.

He added that the new generation of electronic services that are launched is characterized by its high efficiency in electronic interconnection with the state sectors and the possibility of immediate verification of transactions without the need for multiple field visits.

He explained that the new mechanisms for issuing the power of attorney are comprehensive, as authentication can be achieved through the use of the “My Identity” application and the Ministry of Interior platform without the intervention of the human element to embody the digital identity that “Customs” works on and the ways and means of providing services and completing the procedures more effectively and in a shorter time.

He stated that the digital transformation file is at the forefront of the priorities of the executive plans of the customs institution to ensure facilitation, governance and security of digital government transactions, pointing to the efforts of the “customs” to expand its business and offer digital services and products.
