The Director-General of the General Administration for Security Relations, Brigadier General Tawhid Al-Kandari, confirmed that the security men would implement new decisions issued by the Council of Ministers. The decision stipulates that the ban will take effect from 6 pm until 5 am. Walking is allowed only for two additional hours, from 6 pm to 8 pm in residential areas, Al Qabas reported.
Brigadier General Al-Kandari said in a statement to the daily that the security men received clear and explicit instructions stipulating that walking is permitted only within residential areas. Citizens and residents must adhere to health guidelines, i.e maintaining physical distancing and using a mask to cover their nose and mouth. During the two hours designated for walking use of vehicles or scooters is not be permitted.
The Kandari Brigadier appealed to citizens and residents to abide by the decisions of the Council of Ministers and urged their children not to violate the decisions. He stressed that the security will implement the law firmly, and whoever violates the decisions will fall under the responsibility of violating the decisions of the Council of Ministers and will be referred To the competent authorities.
