Minister of Health, Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah said the rate of vaccination against Covid-19 in Kuwait has exceeded 70 percent and will soon reach 100 percent, Al Qabas reported.
On the sidelines of his visit to the Al-Khairan Covid-19 quarantine facility accompanied by Minister of Interior Sheikh Thamer Al-Ali, the Minister of Health praised the efforts of health workers.
The Al-Qabas daily quoting Dr Al-Sabah said the epidemiological situation in Kuwait is excellent, and added it is necessary not to relent to keep in check the high rate of infections.
On the issue of vaccinating children five years and above Minister Al-Sabah said FDA approval to the request submitted by Pfizer is still awaited.
He pointed out the vaccination campaign is moving in the right direction and said the next challenge is the return of children to schools in about two months and a gradual return to normal life.
