It is with extreme sorrow that the Embassy of Uzbekistan and Uzbeks in Kuwait received news of the sad demise of the late Amir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.
A staunch friend of Uzbekistan, the late Amir was a persevering proponent of peace and reconciliation in the region, and an unwavering leader of humanitarian efforts around the world.
With the demise of the late Amir, Uzbekistan has lost a brother, the Arab world an unparalleled monarch, and the world a humanitarian leader. The Embassy of Uzbekistan and the Uzbek people in Kuwait join me in expressing our sincere and deep condolences to the Al-Sabah family, the Government, and the people of Kuwait.
