The US recorded over 73,000 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours whereas Brazil reported almost 56,000 new cases.
According to Johns Hopkins University, the US recorded 73,715 new coronavirus cases of and 1,130 deaths.
The tally showed that the total confirmed cases in the nation reached at least 4,112,531 and 145,546 deaths.
Meanwhile, Brazil’s health ministry recorded 55,891 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours as the country’s total confirmed cases reached 2,343,366.
The ministry also recorded 1,156 new deaths, bringing the country’s death toll to 85,238. The US and Brazil rank first and second globally in the confirmed coronavirus cases and deaths.
