The US recorded over 36,000 new coronavirus cases whereas Brazil recorded almost 40,000 cases in the past 24 hours.
Up to 36,151 new coronavirus cases and 831 deaths were reported in the US in the last 24 hours, according to Johns Hopkins University.
This brings the total coronavirus cases in the nation up to 2,346,937 cases and 121,224 deaths, the tally showed.
Meanwhile, Brazil’s health ministry reported 39,436 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours bringing the country’s total to 1,145,906.
Also, 1,374 coronavirus deaths have been recorded in the last 34 hours as Brazil’s total deaths reached 52,645.
According to Johns Hopkins University tally, Latin America and the Caribbean have over 100,000 coronavirus deaths as the total number of reported deaths in 33 Latin American and Caribbean countries reached at least 100,145.
