The US has recorded over 25,000 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours whereas Brazil’s confirmed cases nears one million.
According to Johns Hopkins University, 25,766 new coronavirus cases were reported in the US and 704 deaths.
This brings the confirmed cases nationwide to 2,189,056 cases and 118,421 deaths. Meanwhile, Brazil recorded 22,765 new cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s confirmed coronavirus cases to 978,142, according to Brazil’s health ministry.
The ministry also reported 1,238 deaths as the country’s total deaths reached 47,748. The US and Brazil are the two hardest-hit countries globally with the highest number of coronavirus cases and recorded deaths.
