On this special and symbolic occasion of Kuwait’s National and Liberation Days, I wish from the bottom of my heart to the wise leadership of Kuwait as well as to the friendly and hospitable people of Kuwait further progress, success and development. May Kuwait always prosper and successfully get through any obstacles to reach more momentous achievements!
Today, Kuwaiti people pay respect with silent prayers of thanks to the martyrs for their sacrifices. In the past, the best sons and daughters of Kuwait gifted a bright and independent present to their country.
Re-establishment of Kuwait’s independence was a hard fight, as it was for Ukraine. My country Ukraine is now facing similar challenges, which Kuwaiti people survived 31 years ago. During the thousand-year history of Ukraine, one of the main features of Ukrainians was the willingness of freedom.
Although the cost of freedom is very high — thousands of heroes who fall victim to war and repressions — Ukrainians are ready today to struggle for independence and their Motherland’s prosperous future (same as Kuwaitis in 1990-91).
It is an open secret that we are stronger together. We sincerely appreciate Kuwait’s support for Ukraine, hoping for a better future for both countries.
With great joy and pride, I offer my heartfelt congratulations on the anniversary of Kuwait National and Liberation Days. May the spirit of this day give you the courage to chase your aspirations.
