I would like to express my congratulations on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of Kuwait’s independence and 28th Liberation Day to the Kuwaiti Nation. I would especially like to extend my best wishes of good health and wellbeing to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber As-Sabah, who has been successfully leading the State since 2006.
The National Day of Kuwait is a double holiday for the Kuwaitis. From one side, it is a joyful event as it is the celebration of independence gained in 1961. It is a big pride for any nation in the world to be independent from foreign protectorates. On the other hand, this holiday reminds every citizen of Kuwait about both tragic events of foreign occupation and the happiness of liberation.
