The Jahra Security Directorate have arrested a person in his forties on Al-Sabiya Road. He was found in a state of drug abuse and in possession of drugs and locally-made alcohol.
The Al-Anba daily said the man was arrested at a checkpoint because he showed signs of drug use.
Upon precautionary search, they found with him narcotic pills, 3 bottles of local alcohol, and drug paraphernalia following which he was arrested and taken to the Saad Al-Abdullah police station.
In the same context, two drug addicts were taken into custody and police seized from them a cocktail of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
The three men have been handed over to the Directorate-General for Drugs Control.
